The sport of gliding is an exhilarating, spectacular yet serene flying experience. Gliders take to the air like birds with wings outstretched, soaring on rising air currents, immersed in three dimensional space and flying silently with an eagle’s view of the world.
Gliding Australia is the national sporting body for gliding in Australia from pre-solo through to international competitions.
Gliding is a very sociable, challenging and fun sport. Australia has a great group of female pilots and have plenty of support options for women just starting out to top level pilots.
Gliding is a dynamic sport enjoyed by particpants all over the world. There are many facets, meaning that there are opportunities for you to focus on the parts of the sport you enjoy the most.
